Honduras Construction Team:  July 20^th – 27^th, 2013

Purpose of Trip:  We will be going primarily to build a widow’s home for one of Alfredo’s church members. Although this is our immediate task in Tegucigalpa, our greater purpose in going is to further the kingdom of God, to build loving relationships with our brothers and sisters in Christ, and most importantly, to give God opportunity to work in our lives. On trips such as these God works in our hearts to show us His perspective and to show us what has crept into our lives that is not of Him; He stretches us and works us to make us more like Him.

Type of Work:  We will largely be laborers for the skilled Honduran workers who are working on the home and the bathroom project. (We go not to be served, but to serve.)

• Laborers (carrying materials, hand-mixing concrete, carrying 5 gal. buckets of mixture)
• Masonry work (laying block)
• Roofing (up on the roof, screwing down panels)

Working Conditions:  It will be hot, perhaps rainy – there is no air-conditioning.
