Who we are - we are a team that is made up of servants that have the abilities to enhance worship with technology and the gifting that God has given us. We are 4WRD Technical Worship Ministry because we believe in the ability God has to move us forward not only in our creative thinking but also in the technology that is ever changing and growing.
What we do - Why we do what we do - Our goal in the Media Team is to always lift up God. We do this by running sound at a comfortable level while we worship, building light cues to enhance worship, pressing the slides in a timely manner so everyone worships together, recording and editing the service so others may take part later or again. We do what we do to glorify God above all else. Where we do what we do - We are under the covering of the Worship Arts Ministry. We submit to all correction and are flexible and ready to move wherever the Holy Spirit leads us at all times and without delay. We refuse to grumble, complain, or argue on the basis of anything. The “booth” is our home and we take that place as our place of worship, it is our altar to God and our sanctuary unto Him alone. How you can do what we do - You can volunteer with us anytime. We are always looking for new people to join our wonderful team. We are excited that you are interested. Anything you would like to learn we are willing to teach you. Anything you can teach us we are willing to learn. Anything we don’t know we will find out together.

There are many opportunities and ways to serve in the 4WRDTechnical Worship Ministry at First Church of God.
Whether you are an old road dog, or just now getting interested in technology, we have a place for you to serve. We take these positions seriously, and we hope you do too. Along with some of the positions, you can view the official “job descriptions,” and see where you can best fit in. Training is always available.

All available opportunities will be able to take direction well and follow cues during each worship service. We also ask that you are available to serve one weekend a month.
Audio Engineer/Console Operator Ability to hear well and mix instruments together to enhance the sound of a worship experience, a clam and attentive person best fits this position. Training is Available. Stage Hands
The ability to listen and watch the stage attentively and be ready to run out onstage to fix last minute details, bring props, and communicate needs via hand signals with Front of house position. Lifting is a must. A/V Tech
Someone with the ability to repair cables and equipment. Solider, crimping, and accurate identification of different types of cable are a must. We will train. Lighting Engineer/Lighting Operator
Ability to “see” the worship service and visually hear worship in order to enhance the worship by fading in and out colors and light looks. Designing a light looks for each service. We will train. Presentation Operator Running Media Shout a presentation program that requires attention to detail, the abilities to follow along with the song and be ahead of the audience and worship team with the slides. We will train. Basic computer knowledge is helpful. Camera/Switcher Operator Ability to follow someone smoothly with a camera on stage. Video Editors Experience helps here. If you have an eye for design, and graphics. You can see the video and know where transitions and editing needs to be done to make it more effective then your help is definitely needed. We will help train you as well but some editing work is appreciated. CD/Duplication Tech Able to copy a cd via I-tunes and upload to the website, as well as print copies for the Media Center. Training is available. Stage Design/Set building/Props
